Whistle Stop

'Whistle Stop' was my first encounter with WCRS Radiostage which, I'm told were original radio drama's produced from 2000 through 2004 for a Radio Reading Service for the visually impaired. From what I understand they were acted out by the volunteers and friends of the service. This shows in one or two places where the delivery is not quite as polished as one would expect from a processional but, having said that, it certainly doesn't show as often as you would think. Certainly this is at the upper end of amateur acting and is on the whole quite good.

This particular tale is entertaining although their isn't a great deal of surprise in the plot which pretty much goes where you expect it to. That fact aside I really enjoyed 'Whistle Stop' and it has prompted me to track down some more of the WCRS Radiostage productions which I hope to be adding to the site soon.

“A couple get lost in the fog, have a car accident, and look for help in a small town called Whistle Stop. And that's only the beginning of the story. It's another story for the blind from WCRS Radiostage.”
